Welcome to the Annual IAM Conference 2014 which will be hosted by the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. The theme of the conference is ‘Managing in a Changing Climate: Leading to New Realities’ which will examine key issues and new paradigms in management in the shifting economic, political, economic and social environment. We welcome abstracts from a broad range of management disciplines and national and international colleagues. We are also keen to continue the IAM’s work in developing and encouraging PhD candidates in the Conference Doctoral Colloquium.
We are delighted to welcome Wayne F. Cascio, Distinguished University Professor at the University of Colorado, as the Conference keynote speaker. Prof. Cascio holds the Robert H. Reynolds Chair in Global Leadership at the University of Colorado Denver. He has served as president of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (1992-1993), Chair of the SHRM Foundation (2007), the HR Division of the Academy of Management (1984), and as a member of the Academy of Management’s Board of Governors (2003-2006). He is a senior editor of the Journal of World Business. He has authored or edited 27 books on human resource management, and is a two-time winner of the best-paper award from the Academy of Management Executive for his research on downsizing and responsible restructuring.
The IAM Conference also provides an excellent opportunity for delegates to visit the Limerick which is 2014 National City of Culture with plenty of events scheduled in and around the historical city.
We look forward to meeting you in Limerick.
